Acer palmatum dissectum ‘Viridis’

A green lace-leaf type Japanese Maple. Growing in a round dome will take 50 years to get 10 feet tall. Leaves dissected to mid-vein and green. In Fall colors are red-orange. Spectacular for a bonsai!

When choosing a location, keep in mind that this tree has a slow growth rate. It grows up to 8 feet in height and 8 feet in spread. It can be planted in zones 5 to 8. Prefers well-drained soil that is rich on organic material and full or partial sun.

Requirements: PARTIAL SHADE. 10 Year Dimensions: 1 ft. x 1 ft. Hardy in zones 5-9. In cooler regions grow on a sunny, yet cool windowsill in the winter.What defines “dwarf” and “miniature”? Dwarf varieties grow one to six inches per year. Miniature varieties grow less than one inch per year. These plants are more valuable because they grow so slow. They can be used as: Bonsai, Rock Gardens, Trough Gardens, Patio Containers, and even Garden Railways. On top of the soil and under the granite grit is a weed mat. This weed mat is manufactured in Canada by Geo-disc. Thanks to this new innovative product we no longer use herbicides on your plants.
